Jesse Tyler Ferguson Rolls Up His Sleeves to Make Biscuits on Thanksgiving with Justin Mikita and Kids

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita had a special Thanksgiving with their family of four.

The couple spent the holiday with sons Sullivan “Sully” Louis, who celebrated his first birthday this month, and Beckett Mercer, 2½.

In a series of posts on Instagram, Modern family alum shared photos of himself and his little ones making cookies for a family of four to celebrate Thanksgiving.

“Can adults still have core memories? If so, could this be one of them? 👨‍🍳 ❤️❤️,” he said in the caption.

The pictures included photos of Ferguson and his little one rolling out the dough with rolling pins, while pictures shared on his Instagram Story showed the father and son duo mixing butter and flour together in a mixing bowl.

The holiday fun didn’t end there!

Later, the actor shared another family photo on his social media. In the picture, Mikta can be seen holding Sully in her arms as Beckett plays next to the duo’s feet.

“happy thanksgiving! 🦃,” Jesse captioned the post.

While speaking with PEOPLE earlier this year, Ferguson talked about how much he enjoys watching Beckett grow into his big brother role.

“He’s excited that Sully will slowly do more than just lie down. He actually said, ‘Sully, do something!’ the other day, and I explained to him that he just needs a little more time,” he said with a laugh. “But he likes to tell people he’s a big brother.”

The Tony Award winner, who had sons Beckett in 2020 and Sully in 2022 via surrogate, noted that raising his two sons was a different experience.

“All this time we were holding hands, kind of staring at him because we were all stuck together,” he told PEOPLE in April. “Now, because Beckett is very active and the world has kind of come back, I work, and Justin works, and we use more of our in-laws and parents to help us, whereas before everyone kind of had to stay away.”
