Jessica Alba does not rule out the possibility of returning it Fantastic four character.
Not long after her Fantastic four co-star Chris Evans reprized his role as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch for a surprise cameo in the recently released film Deadpool & WolverineThe actress, 43, says she would be open to reprising her role as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman.
“Yeah, of course. I loved playing that character,” Alba — who recently helped Instagram launch a new feature Teen Accounts — tells PEOPLE exclusively about her role in 2005. Fantastic four and in 2007 Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
“[I’d be open to] anything in the Marvel Universe. I’m a fan of all superhero stories and it was a great time in my life,” she adds. “Well, if they wanted me, of course.”

Alba starred alongside Evans, 43, as siblings in their two Fantastic four films, alongside Ioan Gruffudd (Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic), Michael Chiklis (Ben Grimm/The Thing) and Julian McMahon (Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom).

Now, with Fantastic four characters that are part of the MCU after Disney took over Fox Studios, Marvel plans to release a new take on the four superheroes in Fantastic Four: Getting Startedwhich should appear in cinemas in 2025.
Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will take on the main roles, while Robert Downey Jr. — who famously played Tony Stark/Iron Man in the MCU — return to the franchise to portray Doctor Doom. He will then serve as the main antagonist Avengers: Judgment Day (2026) i Avengers: Secret Wars (2027).

IN Deadpool & WolverineEvans reprises his role as The Human Torch from the mid-2000s superhero movies — and also has a funny post-credits scene.
The actor told PEOPLE in August that he didn’t hesitate at all when asked to make a surprise cameo in the Marvel film.
“It was a few years ago and I got a text from Ryan [Reynolds]we’re friends,” Evans explained. “He just said, ‘Look, if you don’t like this idea, don’t worry. But I have something that could really bring the house down and allow you to play a character from your past.’ ”
Despite the hype surrounding the appearance, Alba tells PEOPLE that she didn’t tune in to see Evans play her superhero sibling on screen. “Oh, I haven’t seen that yet,” she tells PEOPLE. “But it’s so much fun.”
