Jessica Biel’s sons are still not the best of friends.
On Thursday, May 16, the 42-year-old actress appeared on Live with Kelly & Marktalking to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, both 53, about their sons Phineas, 3½, and Silas, 9, whom she shares with husband Justin Timberlake, 43.
Ripa asked how Biel’s family was doing, and the star remarked, “They’re all getting so big now.”
“How old are they now?” Consuelos asked.
“9 and 3,” Biel replied. “They’re at this point where they’re six years apart, not five. My little one turns 4 this summer.”
– Our sons are six years apart and are best friends – replied Ripa.
“Okay. So…mine aren’t. How do I do that?” Biel asked. “They will grow up and be best friends,” Ripa reassured her.

Later in the conversation, Ripa questioned whether Biel’s sons are as talented as her and Timberlake.
“They’re definitely showing us that they’re interested in singing, acting, performing. My oldest is very funny, likes jokes, kind of hammy,” Biel said. “I want to be a DJ. My little one is like Mick Jagger. He’s like a microphone, dancing and ‘give me the spotlight’.” It’s crazy how they are the way they are.”
Biel noted that she and her boys will be joining Timberlake on some of his tour dates, which kicked off a few weeks ago.
“We’re kind of in and out,” Biel explained of going on tour with the “Cry Me a River” singer. “We started the tour with him, it literally started like two weeks ago. We were in Vancouver, and we were at both shows in Seattle. They were so hyped. They’re super fans.”
“Silas has all the merch from head to toe. Phinny has the hat merch. They’re so cute,” added the proud mom.
Saying her son Silas is considering attending sleepaway camp this summer, Biel said her son Phineas will be sad when his brother leaves for part of the summer.
“He has no idea what’s going on,” she said. “And I think it’s going to be devastating for him. Because they’re not best friends yet, but you know, he wants to do everything. He’s his friend.”
“Wherever Silas goes, he follows him. Whatever he does, he wants to play the same thing and all that stuff. I think he’s literally going to be like, ‘What happened? Where is he?'” Biel continued.
In late April, Biel shared a post on her Instagram, posing with the two of them as they joined their musician father on tour. Dressed in Timberlake’s tour ad, the singer’s boys struck a pose as Biel knelt and held a light-up microphone.
The proud mom also included a solo video of her sons, who are facing away from the camera, showing off their dad’s concert shirts. In the third photo, Timberlake, 43, hugged his wife as they looked into each other’s eyes backstage.
“It’s a family thing,” Biel wrote in the caption.
