Jessica Simpson knows how to let her clothes do all the talking.
Days after clapping back at a social media follower who accused her of drinking again, Simpson, who has been sober for nearly seven years, showed she wasn’t letting the accusations get to her by hitting the studio to record a sexy country edition.
The 44-year-old, wearing a pink lace mini dress under a red mixed print kimono with fringe detailing, placed her hands on her hips as she showed off the look outside Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles.
To complete the look, the mum-of-three wore glittery bronze Laurel knee-high boots from the Jessica Simpson collection, oval sunglasses and a light blue necklace with matching rings.

Simpson showed off the look on Instagram, leaving a unique emoji with a musical note in the caption. Her mom, Tina Simpson, also commented on the post from Thursday, August 8, writing: “🎶 🔥🎶🔥🎶.”
The fashion designer opted for some of the same jewelry in her next post on Friday, August 9, where she rocked a floral print satin dress with snakeskin Immie platform sandals from the Jessica Simpson collection.
The singer was accused of drinking alcohol again while celebrating her son Ace’s 11th birthday in a post on Instagram on Monday, August 5.

While many congratulated her son in the comments section, one Instagram user commented, “STOP DRINKING!” prompting Simpson’s response.

“I haven’t wanted or touched alcohol since October 2017 and it was the best decision I made for me and my family. Thank you. You care, but you got me wrong. Sending love your way,” her comment read.

“Writing music has become a wonderful therapeutic thing for me that I didn’t know was so natural, but that’s because I haven’t done it for so long,” she told the news outlet.
