Career
As a college student, he made his professional stage debut in October 1972 in Rain, based on a short story by W. Somerset Maugham. After returning to Texas, he worked in an arcade in Dallas. Beaver moved to New York City in 1979 and worked continuously on screen, both in storage and on tour, as well as composing plays and developing a memoir by performer George Reeves. He also appeared in Birmingham, Alabama, and Manchester, New Hampshire in The Hasty Heart and the Rainmaker, as well as touring the country as Macduff in Macbeth and The Last Gathering of the White Magnolia Knights.
In 1983 he moved to Los Angeles, California to continue studying the story of George Reeve.
