Jimin Became The First Single Artist In Hanteo History To Sell Over A Million Copies

With his debut album FACE, Jimin has achieved another success. Artist BTS has become the first K-pop singer in the Hanteo annals to sell more than a million copies in a single day. Even among the K-pop groups on the list, it has the fifth highest number of first-day orders, behind only BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids. His single top spot has certainly hit multiple wins in a day and fans couldn’t be more pleased.

With only six songs on his debut album, the BTS member has achieved a lot. FACE debuted on March 24 with the title track “Like Crazy” and the accompanying music video. Acclaimed critics also praised the record for engaging listeners with its hypnotic vocals, engaging instrumentation and, of course, the meaning it conveys.

BTS Jimin sold 1,021,532 copies of FACE in just one day.

Hanteo Chart revealed that on March 24, the day Jimin released his solo album FACE, the album sold a whopping 1,021,532 copies. This achievement makes the 27-year-old the only artist in history to sell more than a million copies in a single day on the Hanteo chart. Also, the Like Crazy artist has broken several ratings with his latest solo outing. Several songs from the record reached number one on iTunes in more than 100 countries.

With a whopping 996,992 streams, the English version of Like Crazy became the biggest K-pop single to be released on Spotify in the United States. Meanwhile, the second track, Set Me Free Pt. 2, debuted at number one on the Official UK Singles Chart, becoming the highest charting single in the history of a K-pop act. FACE, which has only been out for a day, has also become the best-selling Korean solo album in Japan, according to the Oricon chart.
