Raj Limbani was born on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 (19 years old; as of 2024) in Dayapa village, Lakhpat taluka, Kutch district, Gujarat state, India. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He studied till seventh grade in an English medium school about 45 kilometers from his village.
In 2017, he moved to Vadodara to live with his uncle Manilal Patel, who works with the Gujarat Electricity Board and has been living in Vadodara since 2010. He trained at Motibaug Cricket Club, which produced the Pathan brothers (Yusuf and Irrfan), then the Pandya brothers (Krunal and Hardik) and Deepak Hooda under coach Digvijay Singh Rathwa.

In June 2023, he participated in a high-level training camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

He participated in the 2024 U-19 World Cup in South Africa, taking 11 wickets in 6 games with an average of 16.54 and a strike rate of 25.63; his best performance in the tournament was in the final against Australia In the U-19 team, he took 3 wickets and scored 38 runs.

He told Rathwa that first he wanted to play for U-16, then he wanted to attend a camp in NCA in his first year with U-19, then he wanted to play U-19 World Cup and then first-class cricket representing Baroda , then the India A-League, and finally representing the Indian senior team.
