Footage captured by police body cameras shows Montgomery, from Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, walking out the back door of a courtyard behind a row of terraced houses.
As clouds of smoke rise from the blazing fire behind him, Montgomery replies “yeah, fair enough” to the news that he’s been arrested.
The officer reads his rights and Montgomery nods before adding: “Can I pick up the phone, boss.” The policeman replies “we’ll sort it all out in a minute”.
Another shot shows a blackened barbecue in the back garden. Speaking about the scene ahead, the officer says: “He’s apparently setting clothes on fire in the back garden which we also had to put out.”
The killer was found guilty by a jury at Norwich Crown Court after a nine-day trial on Friday, November 22.
During the heated argument, Montgomery shouted at Mr Mazs and accused his friends of doing drugs in the communal stairwell, the jury heard.
In a fit of rage, Montgomery kicked Mr Mazs in the face, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head.
Mr. Mazs fell unconscious and began to bleed profusely, but managed to escape with the help of his friends.
An hour later, Mazs’ friends called an ambulance and he was taken to the hospital.
He was placed in an induced coma at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after a brain haemorrhage was discovered.

Montgomery denied murder but admitted manslaughter.
After an hour of deliberation, the jury reached a unanimous verdict.
The murderer will be sentenced on Tuesday.
Detective Inspector Alix Wright, who led the investigation, said: “This was an unprovoked attack and the manner in which Montgomery showed no concern for his victim, a man he did not know, continued to taunt and threaten him even after he suffered such a disaster. the injury shows that he is a dangerous person who should be taken off the streets.”
