JK schools in Ramban district are closed

J&K Schools Closed: In view of incessant rains since yesterday, all government and private schools up to higher secondary level in Ramban will remain closed today. However, the exams, if any, will be held as per the announced date. The India Meteorological Department has predicted isolated heavy rain with possibility of lightning and thundershowers in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir on October 17, 2023.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Zia, shared on social media platform X that continuous heavy rains resulted in the closure of National Highway – 44. She advised people to refrain from traveling on this route today.

All schools in J&K Ramban district are closed

Deputy Commissioner Ramban also informed that, “in view of incessant rain since yesterday, all government and private schools up to Hr. Sec level in Ramban district will remain closed today. However, examinations, if any, will be held as per the notification date.” “

Jammu National Highway 44 blocked

“NH-44 blocked at Morh Cafeteria, near Ramban due to incessant rains. People are advised to check TCU updates and avoid travel today,” the Deputy Commissioner announced on X. Check out the tweet below:

Schools in Odisha are closed for Dussehra from October 20 to 29

The state government has announced closure of schools from October 20 to 29, 2023 Dussehra. Parents and students can contact school authorities regarding closures and reopenings. Board of Secondary Education and Board of Primary Education have issued a notification to close school in Odisha from October 20 to 29, 2023 for Durga Puja. Schools will now reopen on October 30, 2023.

UP schools will be closed in 35 districts

On October 28 and 29, 2023, schools in 35 districts of Uttar Pradesh will remain closed for the conduct of UPPSC PET examination. To ensure smooth conduct of the examination, the state government has issued an order that no other examinations will be scheduled on the said dates.
