Joan Haanappel was a famous former Dutch figure skater and sports presenter for NOS, AVRO, ZDF and Eurosport. She was born on November 13, 1940 in The Hague, in the Netherlands under Gemran occupation. She was a three-time European bronze medalist from 1958 to 1960, and was also a four-time Dutch national champion.
