Joan Rivers’ longtime New York penthouse has officially been taken off the market after three years of trying to find a buyer.
The mansion served as the late comedian’s home for 28 years before she died at the age of 81 in 2014. According to property records, it sold in 2015 for $24 million and was later put on the market again in 2021 for $38 million. The home then received a price reduction and was relisted for $34.5 million last June.
Located just steps from Fifth Avenue, the apartment boasts stunning views of Central Park and the surrounding skyline. The space is designed in a neo-French classical style and offers four bedrooms, five bathrooms, two terraces, five wood-burning fireplaces and a ballroom.

Listing agents Dolly Lenz and Jennifer Lenz of Dolly Lenz Real Estate confirmed to PEOPLE that the property has been taken off the market. However, Jennifer adds that those serious about calling Rivers’ penthouse home could still get it.
“With Joan’s huge following and unrivaled pedigree attached to the penthouse, it’s no surprise that the home has gained significant exposure worldwide,” she says. “Although not online, the property may be privately available for seriously interested parties.”
