Jodie Foster Supports Wife Alexandra Hedison at Sundance Premiere of Her Short Film

Jodie Foster is Alexandra “Alex” Hedison’s biggest fan!

On Thursday, the two-time Oscar winner, 61, was all smiles as she supported her husband of nearly a decade during the world premiere of Hedison’s short film ALOK at the Sundance Film Festival.

Foster dressed in a black jacket, worn on the back with a pattern and a white collared shirt, and accessorized with a Gucci bag. Hedison wore a velvet jacket in a dark shade of blue with a long-sleeved cream blouse with a floral lapel.

According to the festival’s website, the film (directed by Hedison, 54) is a “compelling portrait of Alok Vaid-Menon, an acclaimed non-binary author, poet, comedian and public speaker,” and is executive produced by Foster.

Kristen Stewart, Pedro Pascal, Steven Yeun and more stars will debut new films at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

Foster previously sang her wife’s praises on Wednesday’s episode of the show Today show, saying she’s most proud of “the fact that Alex and ALOK they are part of making people better instead of worse.”

“I think it’s about freedom and being your best self and being free, and I have a lot to learn from that, so I’m excited about it,” he continued Nyad actress. “And I can’t wait to be with her and not be about me.”

Hedison and Foster tied the knot after a year of dating in April 2014 in a top-secret ceremony, which friends of the newlyweds said was just their style.

Stars debuting new films at Sundance this year include Steven Yeun, Pedro Pascal, Michael Fassbender, Saoirse Ronan and Foster Panic room actress Kristen Stewart.

Stewart, who has appeared in numerous Sundance premieres throughout her career, leads the cast Love bleedsromantic drama written and directed by Rose Glass and starring Katy O’Brian, Ed Harris, Dave Franco and Jena Malone.

Former Twilight The actress, 33, is also teaming up with Yeun – after bowing at the award-winning Sundance Minarets — in Love me, from film duo Sam and Andrew Zuchero. Its official logline suggests a romantic drama steeped in science fiction: “Long after the extinction of humanity, a floater and a satellite meet on the Internet and fall in love.”

In addition, Stewart is scheduled to receive the Visionary Award at the Sundance opening night gala on Thursday, to recognize the actress’ “work as an uncompromising artist and contribution to the field of independent film” during her two decades in the industry, Sundance said.
