Jodie Turner-Smith is open about her divorce from Joshua Jackson.
In an interview with Time published on Sunday, the British actress and model, 37, said she had filed for divorce from the 45-year-old Fatal attraction star in October 2023, is trying to think positively about their split.
“Sometimes the things we really want to do just don’t work out,” he said Queen & Slim said the star. “And that’s okay. The most important thing is that you choose what is healthiest for you and your family and certainly your children.”

She further suggested that everyone should stop at various points in their lives and ask themselves if they are being true to themselves.
“If the answer is no, then you have to move because I believe the scars from being in places that are not good for us are visible. And they don’t just affect us, they affect everyone around us,” she said. He said.
“I don’t think it’s a failure,” she continued of her marriage to Jackson. “Obviously we had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting!”

Jackson and Turner-Smith first met when he caught her eye at Usher’s birthday party in November 2018 and a whirlwind romance began.
In December 2019, a source told PEOPLE that the couple tied the knot, and Turner-Smith had a baby bump just weeks later. Their daughter Juno Rose Diana was born in April 2020.

Turner-Smith said Time that she thought of Juno, who is now 3 years old, when she decided to end the marriage.
“The bravest thing in the world is to recognize when something is not working and take a step, and I always want to set that example for my daughter,” she said.
“The big takeaway is that this is as much love and joy as it’s ever been. This is just a step forward to a better life for everyone involved.”
