Joe Montana and his wife Jennifer Montana have been married for 37 years. The two first met in Los Angeles during the filming of a television commercial. He recently won his first Super Bowl, according to his wife, when he was called to do a commercial.

In an interview with Yahoo Life, Joe stated that he appeared in commercials alone or with some extras in the background. At the beginning, he engaged in short conversations. However, when he was supposed to shoot with his wife, he became extremely scared and uneasy.
During filming, Joe was only thinking about asking Jennifer out to dinner. The NFL player then followed her to her car and asked her out. The couple hit it off immediately after meeting. After six months of dating, Joe took his wife out to dinner, and at the end of the meal, he scribbled on the check, “Jen, what would you say if I asked you to spend the rest of your life with me?” To this, his wife stated that she had never thought about marriage or a long-term relationship.
“Well, I’ll have to make a decision on the fifth,” she said. That was all she could say, as she had no further answer. Joe expressed his happiness that he didn’t get a “no” answer. He believed he still had a chance and needed to come up with a plan to make it happen. Moreover, he saw in this an opportunity to be innovative. He hired a plane and flew around the stadium, waving flags. The player approached the pilot and asked him to give him a banner that said, “Jen, will you marry me?” Their romance began in 1985, and the couple has been inseparable ever since.

“He’s also my best friend,” his wife explained, “so he’s the first person I want to do things and spend time with.” Joe never imagined that he would form a friendship over a commercial shoot. Joe, on the other hand, had previously been married twice before meeting his wife. He also sued his first wife, Kim Moses, for $75,000, as well as the auction house that sold his belongings.

Alexandra and Elizabeth, Nathaniel Joseph and Nicholas Alexander are the couple’s four children. Both of their boys attended De La Salle High School and played football. On September 26, 2020, an NFL player and his husband confronted a woman suspected of trying to steal their granddaughter who was sleeping in a playpen. The Associated Press reports that the woman entered their home in Malibu and grabbed the young man. The couple tried to “de-escalate the situation” by confronting the stranger and demanding the return of their granddaughter.

The former NFL star is now developing Joe Montana: Cool Under Pressure, a sports documentary series about his life and career. The documentary will chronicle his meteoric rise from high school to Notre Dame, where he won a national title, was drafted into the NFL and eventually won the Super Bowl. Interviews with celebrities, former teammates, coaches and Joe’s mentors are included in the series.
