Joe Burrow is speaking out two days after his home was burgled.
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, 28, spoke about the Monday, Dec. 9, invasion of his property in Anderson Township, Ohio, while speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
“So obviously everybody heard what happened,” Burrow said of the incident that occurred while he was away in Texas for a game against the Dallas Cowboys.

“I feel like my privacy has been violated in a number of ways and there’s a lot more out there than I’d like and I want to share so that’s all I have to say about it,” he added.
According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Burrow’s home after influencer and model Olivia Ponton’s mother called 911.
In police audio obtained by TMZ, Ponton’s mother could be heard telling a dispatcher that her daughter was “wondering what she should do, should she hide or should she go out.”
Ponton, 22, is later heard in a separate call saying, “Someone broke into my house … It’s like a complete mess.”

Ponton, who is described in the police report as a Burrow employee, said she saw a “broken bedroom window and a search room” after she arrived at the property. They will later provide police with a list of what “may be missing,” according to the report.
PEOPLE has reached out to representatives for Ponton and Burrow.
Asked if the “most frustrating thing” about the situation is how much information has been revealed, Burrow said Wednesday that that was “part of it.”

“We live a public life, and you know, one of my least favorite parts of it is the lack of privacy, and that’s been hard for me to deal with my whole career. I’m still learning, but I understand that it’s a life you choose,” he said. “It’s not easy to deal with.”

Another reporter asked if he questioned his safety since “this didn’t just happen like this is now a thing with professional athletes feeling like targets” — referring to the burglaries of Kansas City Chiefs players Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes within two days of each other in October.
“I’ve said all I wanted to say about it,” Burrow replied.
