Joey King and Husband Steven Piet Look Adorably Loved-Up in Front Row Debut at Milan Fashion Week

Joey King and husband Steven Piet brought their love to the forefront.

The couple, who recently celebrated their first anniversary over the weekend, attended the Max Mara fashion show during Milan Fashion Week on September 19, marking their debut front row appearance together.

Although King is front row during Fashion Week, Piet, the director and producer – as his job suggests – is more of a behind-the-scenes guy. But not this time. For Milan Fashion Week, the two designed their most fashionable looks for the show.

King, 25, wore a long-sleeved floor-length gray dress with a peekaboo waist and knee-length slit. She paired it with black pointed-toe heels and a black clutch. Piet (40) chose a cream-colored suit with pastel blue and green details, which he paired with his favorite white sneakers.

A couple sat next to it Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour in the front row at the show.

King told PEOPLE earlier this year that not much has changed since she and Piet married, but life has gotten better.

“It’s hard to say because people love … Nothing has really changed because we used to live together. But I always say, and it’s very true, that there is something … Everything is a little bit sweeter now,” King said.

The two first tied the knot in a civil ceremony in LA in August last year before tying the knot in Mallorca, Spain in September.

“My mom made me a bouquet from the dollar store. She went there and took all those fake flowers and ribbon and tied them. It was so sweet,” King told PEOPLE of the civil ceremony. “We had so much fun and it was such a great day.”
