Joey King had a destination wedding fit for a princess!
To celebrate their wedding weekend, newlyweds King, 24, and Steven Piet shared special snaps of the joyous occasion. The Express train the actress’ rep and stylist Jared Eng told PEOPLE about the gorgeous looks worn by the newlyweds.
Joey King said “I do” to new husband Steven Piet on the Spanish island of Mallorca on September 3.

“We started this journey probably a year and a half ago,” Eng said of the wedding planning, which began after their engagement was announced in February 2022.
King and Eng began the search for the perfect dress in which the bride could walk down the aisle accompanied by her mother.
“I brought Oscar de la Renta to the table because I know that one of his creators-directors, Fernando [Garcia]she was a big fan of Joey,” Eng continued, recalling how King browsed the designer’s bridal collections and fell in love with one dress in particular, a classic ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and floral texture.
The wedding venue was a Spanish fort from the 17th century.

“I knew right away they were perfect,” King said Vogue outfits she chose for her wedding.
“We flew to New York. It was me, her mother, her friend Sabrina … and we tried on that dress and a bunch of other dresses,” Eng recalled. “It got emotional. We all got teary-eyed and we just knew it was the perfect dress.”
The wedding venue, La Fortaleza, was built in 1628 and is a historic fortress high on a hill. This provided the newlyweds with the perfect setting to capture the sunset as they exchanged their self-written vows in front of around 100 guests.
The bride wore Oscar de la Renta throughout the weekend.

“We were looking for something unique and private and at the same time grand but intimate,” said King Vogue places of events. “We found La Fortaleza in Mallorca and it seems like the Spanish version The Great Gatsby. It is historical without date. It felt timeless, the same way we feel our love for each other.”
The ceremony took place on top of the pool on the lower terrace of the fortress. “It’s super romantic,” Eng said. “If you can look, that’s where Rafael Nadal got married.”
“Looking down the aisle at all our friends and family was an unforgettable moment,” King said Vogue. “We really felt so perfectly present, and soaking in every detail was pure magic.”
At the reception, comfort was paramount, and Eng said King intended to “dance into the wee hours of the night.” For their first dance, the couple choreographed to Cat Power’s rendition of “Sea of Love.” King changed into a shorter dress and sneakers for the number.
King’s two older sisters, Kelli King and Life in pieces actress Hunter King played bridesmaid, wearing custom dresses by Self-Portrait. Hunter’s dress featured a cape, while Kellina’s featured spaghetti straps with feather detailing on the back.

As for the groom’s wedding attire, Piet, who directed the 2015 indie film uncle johnhe wore a suit by the Italian designer Brunello Cucinelli, and the jacket had a monogram on the inside with his name and wedding date, in Eng.
The king said Vogue of her wedding festivities, “The best part was seeing all of our friends who don’t know each other just melt into each other and connect instantly. We are surrounded by the best people, and seeing them all together was contagious joy.”
