John Corbett and Bo Derek Have a High-Flying Date Night Out at Masters of the Air Premiere

John Corbett and Bo Derek turned Lords of the air premiere in the evening!

The couple, who quietly tied the knot in 2020, were among the guests at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, California on Wednesday night to celebrate the premiere of the upcoming Apple TV+ historical drama.

The duo surprised guests when they arrived at the event as they were among a select few who were not part of the show’s cast or crew. Derek, 67, was casually dressed in a white top paired with a matching black blazer and black trousers while Corbett, 62, proudly posed next to her in an all-black ensemble – including a jacket that keen-eyed fans might recognize from his days on the set of And just like that…

The two stayed close to each other as they posed for photographers. As they made their way down the red carpet, they looked at pictures of the plane from the premiere and also paid attention to the families of veterans in attendance.

The Bolero at one point the star leaned into her husband as he whispered something in her ear that seemed to surprise her. At the end of the night, they were seen taking a few photos with the visitors before quickly leaving.

The longtime couple’s dating comes three years after they quietly tied the knot. The Sex and the city alum discovered during a performance at Conversation in August 2021 that he and Derek tied the knot “around Christmas” in 2020 after nearly two decades together.

“We’re pretty private people, we didn’t advertise, all our friends and family knew, but this is the first time any of us have said anything publicly about it because we really haven’t had a chance,” Corbett said at the time. “After 20 years we decided to get married, we didn’t want 2020 to be something that everyone looks back on and hates. We thought, ‘Well, let’s get one good thing out of it’.”

In an August 2020 Fox News interview, 10 the actress spoke about their immediate relationship, saying of their first meeting, “It was just an attraction, a comfort.”

“He makes me laugh all the time. He’s full of life, full of joy. He started to attract me and still does. We take things day by day and I think we’re still there,” Derek continued.

While Derek and Corbett enjoyed a date night at the premiere on Wednesday, it was a family night for the Spielberg and Hanks families.

Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks executive produce the limited series about a group of US Army and Air Force men in the 100th Bomb Group, nicknamed the “Bloody Hundred” because of all the deaths that occurred during its missions.

Steven attended the event along with his son Sawyer Spielberg, who plays Lt. Roy Frank Clayton in Lords of the air. Austin Butler also stars in the project as Major Gale Cleven, and Callum Turner plays Major John Egan.

Tom attended the event with his wife Rita Wilson and sons Chet and Truman Hanks.

Lords of the air is considered a companion series to both 2001 miniseries family of brothers, on which Steven and Tom worked together and the miniseries from 2010 the Pacific, which they executive produced. Both series aired on HBO.

At an Apple TV+ event on Wednesday, Spielberg introduced the surviving members of the 100th Bomb Group and family members of some of the real-life people on the show, to thunderous applause.

Lords of the air will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 26 with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode each week.
