John Farnham Family Broke The News That He Had Been Diagnosed With Cancer

John Farnham, an Australian singer, was recently diagnosed with cancer and is now in hospital. His family announced the news on Tuesday, August 23. According to The Guardian, a statement from members of Farnham’s family announced that he would need surgery. The message also highlighted the remarks of John Farnham, who claimed that cancer diagnoses happen every day and that many others have gone through the same experience as him. He continued:

“One thing I know for sure: we have the best specialist health staff in Victoria and we should all be grateful for that.” I’m sure I am.”

For now, the family has sought seclusion and has refused to reveal anything about the type of illness Farnham was diagnosed with. His cancer diagnosis comes two years after the 2019 health crisis.

John Farnham’s medical history

For a long time, the 74-year-old performer has been struggling with various health problems. Farnham had to postpone his 2019 Australian tour due to a “severe” kidney ailment that landed him in hospital. The disease occurred after surgery, although the specifics of the procedure are unclear. After health concerns, the singer stopped smoking and drinking alcohol.

In an interview with The Telegraph at the time, he said he ignored his wife’s requests to see a doctor and saw the illness as a “wake-up call” to take better care of himself. In addition, Farnham has tinnitus and hearing loss as a result of long experience playing loud concerts. Due to his disability, he has to wear hearing aids.
