John Goodman’s Pacific Palisades Home Has Burned Down as L.A. Fires Continue to Rage: PHOTO

John Goodman’s home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles is one of hundreds burned to the ground, according to photos obtained by PEOPLE.

The Roseanne the actor’s residence was nothing more than a pile of debris, surrounded by downed power lines and trees, in photos taken on January 8. It was unclear if Goodman was in town at the time of the evacuation order, as he and his wife, Beth, split their time between LA and New Orleans.

A representative for Goodman did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

As of Thursday afternoon, raging wildfires across the city have forced the evacuation of more than 100,000 residents and left at least five people dead — though Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said the death toll remains unknown.

The first of six Los Angeles wildfires broke out Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the Pacific Palisades, burning 15,832 acres with 0% fire containment by 8 p.m. the next day, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

By Wednesday afternoon, it was the most destructive fire in the city’s history — decimating an estimated 1,000 structures, according to the Associated Press.

The homes of many Hollywood stars were also involved in the destruction left behind by the fires in LA.

According to a photo obtained by PEOPLE, a fire has engulfed Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Teller’s Pacific Palisades home, which the couple reportedly purchased in 2023. Paris Hilton revealed in a social media post Wednesday that her Malibu home also burned down — which she watched live on television.

“Heartbroken beyond description. 💔 Sitting with my family, watching the news and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” the businesswoman and reality star wrote in an emotional post on Instagram. .

On Wednesday night, news broke that a sixth fire had broken out in the Hollywood Hills — prompting the evacuation of several iconic LA landmarks, including the TCL Chinese Theater and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. By midday Thursday, evacuation orders were lifted as the fire was contained, according to CBS News and NBC News.
