Not only is John Mulaney one of the GQMan of the Year, but he was crowned “hair icon!”
Mulaney, 42, arrived at GQ Men of the Year 2024 event at the Marmont Bar in Los Angeles, where the publication honored him as Comedian of the Year.
To celebrate the occasion, he wore a sophisticated light gray suit paired with a black button down shirt. He completed the contrasting combination with black lacquered moccasins.

The comedian also wore his hair down in his latest, longer hairstyle.
Before the event, he spoke with GQ’with Chris Black and Jason Stewart on the red carpet, and Stewart asked, “How does it feel to be a hair icon on the rise?”
“Being a hair icon. You see. It was an expensive wig,” Mulaney quipped. “Folding it hurt, so put it in, let it lock.”
The couple also asked him what it was like to be one of them GQMan of the Year while his wife, Olivia Munn, does SKIMS ads. “Do you worry that your family unit is potentially getting too sexy?”
“This is a conversation that many American families are having right now,” Mulaney joked. “And frankly, that’s something we’re watching closely and monitoring very carefully.”

Although Mulaney spoke about his wife Munn, 44, she was not present at the event. However, the pair have accompanied each other to several red carpet events this year, including In style Imagemaker Awards. At an event in October, Mulaney presented Munn with the Woman of Impact Award for her advocacy for women’s health following her breast cancer diagnosis this year.
The two looked dapper and coordinated at the Oct. 24 event, with Munna wearing a floor-length black dress with a low back and Mulaney in a black suit with a white button-up and dark green tie.

Earlier this year, the two coordinated again at Paris Fashion Week. The pair wore chic gray outfits to the Hermes SS25 menswear show on June 22.
The comedian wore a gray plaid suit over a button-down shirt and black formal shoes. Munn opted for a less traditional style in a long gray sleeveless jacket over matching trousers. She pulled her hair back with black sunglasses and paired the look with a small chocolate brown handbag.

Munn shared a behind-the-scenes video of their appearance on Instagram as Mulaney jokingly “practiced” watching his first fashion show before it started, making exaggerated facial expressions.
“Baby’s first fashion show 😆,” she captioned the post. “Thank you for having us @hermes 🧡”
