John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin Remember ‘Death Threats’ That Led to FBI Protection During Full House Days

The fame of John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin from Full house have led to some disturbing situations involving their safety.

During appearances on Sweetin and Andrea Barber’s How rude, Tanneritos! podcast, Stamos, 60, opened up about receiving death threats in the ’90s from crazed fans during his time on the beloved sitcom.

Sweetin, 41, and Barber, 47, recalled how security set up “metal detectors” before the live taping, which was “unheard of in the early ’90s.”

“I could feel this nervous energy all over backstage,” Sweetin continued on the iHeartRadio podcast. “And then right before you came out for your intro, John, you made the sign of the cross. And then I think it was Bob [Saget]maybe Dave [Coulier] … who leaned towards you and said, ‘Can I have your parking spot?’”

The man who made the threat approached the woman in the production and asked where Stamos was. When she asked him about his intentions, he replied, “Because I’m going to kill him.”

“Then she went to get insurance and then he disappeared,” Stamos continued, adding that the man ended up trying to call a “hotline” to get hold of him.
