Johnny Depp lives in the Bahamas!
Depp, 61, spent time with bartender Ralph Zoila at the High Tide Cafe on Wednesday, August 28. Zoilo, who goes by the handle “killerbartender” on Instagram, shared a series of photos and videos of the actor’s visit, including a clip of Depp drinking a drink mixed by a bartender and a photo of him holding a drink behind the bar while Zoilo poses next to him with money in hand.
“I know why the rum is going to disappear,” Depp says in the video, seemingly nodding to the famous line from his Pirates of the Caribbean character, Jack Sparrow. “It’s not gone yet, I know that. But I know how to make it go away.”
“Bad — rum – really, you need to copyright this right now,” the actor added as he and the bartender shared a hug.

Zoilo also shared a separate montage of Depp’s visit on Instagram, where he wrote in the comment that Depp “just stayed on his island here in the Bahamas for a week and visited me for my #housespecialdrink.”

Before his time in the Bahamas, the actor, musician and artist kept a low profile for most of the summer. However, he was spotted on a yacht in the Mediterranean Sea with friend Will Smith in July, PEOPLE previously reported.
That same month, he performed with Andrea Bocelli at the Italian singer’s three-day concert at the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico, Italy, where he accompanied Bocelli, 65, on guitar for the song “En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor,” in honor of the late guitarist Jeff Beck.

Recently, Depp also paid tribute to late actor Tamayo Perry, who died in a shark attack in June and appeared with Depp in 2011.
