Jon Rahm's 3 Kids: All About Kepa, Eneko and His Baby on the Way

Jon Rahm and his wife Kelley Cahill are about to become a family of five!

The Spanish professional golfer and Cahill are parents to two sons: Kepe, 3, and Eneka, 2. In March 2024, they announced that they were expecting their third child.

Two months after welcoming Kepa in April 2021, Rahm told GOLF that his mindset changed after becoming a dad. He reflected on how he regretted some of his negative reactions after the loss, especially now that he has a son who looks up to him.

“Now I have a son, someone who depends on me and will learn a lot of things from me like I learned from my father,” he said. “This can’t happen, I can’t do some of the things I’ve done in the past that I sincerely regret.”

Rahm and Cahill’s first son, Kepa, was born on April 3, 2021. The happy couple announced his birth on Instagram with a carousel of photos of the two hugging their newborn in the delivery room.

“Mama Kelley is doing great and recovering,” Rahm wrote in the caption. “Kepa is also in good health. At 7.2lbs and 20.5 inches, he’s a big boy from the Basque Country. Without a doubt, the greatest day of my life!”

Rahm later explained the meaning behind Kepa’s unique name in an interview with the Golf Channel, sharing that the name comes from the Basque Country.

“That’s where I’m from in the Basque Country,” he said, trans Golf Digest. “When we were going through the Basque names because [my wife] agreed to honor my legacy that way, we just had to find one that she could say and that’s the one we came up with that she really likes.”

Just two months after Kepa’s birth, Rahm won his first major at the US Open on Father’s Day, and his young son was there to celebrate the day with him.

“Winning my first major on my first Father’s Day, at a place that means as much to me as Torrey, is just amazing,” he wrote on Instagram of the special moment. “If this is a dream, I haven’t woken up yet – I’m so happy to be able to enjoy this with my whole family!”

A few days after his first birthday, Kepa joined his dad at the Masters Par 3 tournament in April 2022 and made an adorable attempt to steal the microphone from him during an interview with ESPN. While Rahm reflected on his excitement about going to the tournament, Kepa reached for the microphone and giggled when a reporter asked him to say hello to the camera.

Rahm and Cahill welcomed their second son, Enek, on August 5, 2022. The couple announced they were expecting him six months early on Cahill’s birthday in a sweet Instagram post. In the photo, the couple held their ultrasound as Kepa ran towards the camera wearing a “Big Bro” T-shirt.

“Happy birthday to my beautiful wife,” Rahm wrote in the caption. “Grateful for an amazing year, looking forward to having a baby boy this summer!”

Five days after Eneko was born, Rahm announced his birth to the world with a post of him cuddling the newborn next to Kepa, sharing that his second child was a “healthy boy.”

“Kelley, Eneko and older brother Kepa are all great,” he wrote alongside the photos. “We’ve had an amazing last few days soaking up these amazing moments as a family of four. Now it’s time for the playoffs!”

Expanding his family has given Rahm more to cheer about after returning home from a golf tournament or game, he said in press conference in February 2023. He said that no matter what happens on the field, knowing he has two young sons looking forward to his arrival makes everything better.

“The fact that I came home, Kepa sees me — Eneko can’t move yet — but Kepa sees me and the only thing he cares about is dad and the game,” he said. “From 5 p.m. until he falls, that is two hours, I completely forget what’s happening and what I’m doing, it doesn’t matter.”

He added: “It’s such a joy to come with him and he’s just having fun, which makes everyday life so much easier. Since they’ve come, going home after a golf tournament and a round of golf is a lot easier because of things like that.”
