Jonathan Majors Supports Girlfriend Meagan Good at Divorce in the Black Premiere

Meagan Good has support in boyfriend Jonathan Majors.

Good, 42, and Majors, 34, stepped out together at the premiere of Good’s latest film, Divorce in black, in New York on July 8.

Good arrived at the premiere in a dress that revealed her lower part. Her baby blue dress included a halter top that created the illusion of criss-crossing over her bust, then left her abs exposed. The skirt of the dress, although cut, was also revealing and included sheer fabric that revealed her underwear.

She wore strappy nude heels, a vibrant blue geometric clutch, large clear and light blue bracelets and a pair of large, edgy triangle earrings that were visible thanks to her elegantly elevated leg.

Majors opted for a more subtle look and arrived at the premiere in a black cardigan and black pants. He wore a pair of black loafers and a blue and white striped button-up that peeked through the collar of his cardigan.

The couple, who started dating in May 2023, have made several red carpet appearances over the past few months. They recently appeared at the 4th Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards. During his acceptance speech for the Perseverance Award at the ceremony, Yes five blood the actor said of his girlfriend, “You ended up carrying me for so, so, so many nights.”

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good Relationship Timeline

Black divorce — written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry — follows the sudden unraveling of a marriage between young banking professional Ava (Good) and her husband Dallas (Cree Hardrict).

During the after party, the couple stayed close and in good spirits, taking to the dance floor. At one point, Majors captivated the small crowd with his enthusiastic dance moves. The couple later left the hall holding hands.

At the 30th ESSENCE Culture Festival on July 6, Good and Hardrict told PEOPLE that they were able to help each other because they each went through their own divorces while working on the project.

“What I will say is we’ve been friends for a long time and we definitely support each other, we definitely want to see them win, we definitely share some unique experiences, but the biggest thing is we just want to see them win and have the opportunity to just perform,” Good told PEOPLE of Hardrict.

After nine years of marriage, Good separated from husband and writer DeVon Franklin in December 2021, finalizing the divorce in June 2022.

She began dating Majors less than a year later while he was embroiled in legal trouble. In March 2023, the actor was arrested for an alleged domestic dispute and a few days later charged with assault and harassment.

During that summer, Majors, along with Good, appeared in court in person on a domestic violence case. In December, Majors was found guilty of third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment, and Marvel Studios dropped him as Kang about an hour after the jury reached its verdict. In April, he was sentenced to a one-year domestic violence treatment program.

In February, after Majors’ conviction, a source told PEOPLE that the couple was still “going strong and very much in love,” confirming that they had been living together in New York.

In March, Good told PEOPLE, “I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time,” talking about her relationship with Piety actor and her recent professional success.

Majors — who recently booked his first acting gig following his assault conviction — expressed his admiration for Good during his Hollywood Unlocked acceptance speech in June. “Meagan, I love you with all my strength, with all my heart, I love you,” he said.

Black divorce is available on Prime Video on July 11.
