Jonathan Majors is an American actor. He is known for his performances in the television series When We Rise (2017) and Lovecraft Country (2020), and in the films The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019) and Da 5 Bloods (2020).

Jonathan Majors was born as “Jonathan Michael Majors” in Lompoc, California on Thursday, September 7, 1989 (31 years old in 2020). His star sign is Virgo. He spent his early years at Vandenberg Military Base in Lompoc and moved to Dallas, Texas when he was five years old. In 2008, he completed his education at Duncanville High School in Texas. He took a year off to obtain a bachelor’s degree in acting from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a master’s degree in acting from the Yale School of Drama in 2016. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he studied acting at the Terry Knickerbocker Studio in New York.

His father left the family when he was five years old. He has a younger brother, Cameron, and an older sister, Monica. He also has a daughter who was born before he entered the University of North Carolina School of the Arts to pursue his bachelor’s degree.

He rose to fame playing the lead role of Montgomery Allen in the film The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019).
He has appeared in films such as Much Ado About Nothing (TV movie; 2013), Hostiles (2017), White Boy Rick (2018), Captive State (2019), Gully (2019), and Da 5 Bloods (2020). He made his television debut in the mini-series When We Rise (2018), playing the role of a young “Ken Jones”.

- In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, watching movies, playing sports and reading.
- He grew up in Texas playing various sports, especially football.
- As a teenager, he found himself at odds with the neighborhood kids, starting to get into fights and getting bullied. A series of bad things befell him, he had to do community service after being caught shoplifting, faced suspension from school after being involved in a physical fight, and soon after, he was kicked out of his home and began living in his car, which he fondly remembers as “an Oldsmobile named Ariel.” At the same time, he became obsessed with theater and began working part-time at a restaurant.
- He considers himself a disciple of the American playwright August Wilson, having directed Wilson’s plays at the Yale School of Drama. Speaking of this, he said:
We completed all 10 of the Pittsburgh Cycling Series in one year. Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance hadn’t seen anything like this since they were in school.”

That being said, I am still working towards achieving my dream. I sincerely thank you for all you do for young artists.”
