Jordan Janway Obituary: The brother of NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson’s wife, Chandra Janway, Jordan Janway passed away in 2014 at the age of 27.

Who was Jordan Janway?

Jordan Janway is the brother-in-law of Jimmie Johnson who passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in San Diego, California. He was born on December 2, 1986 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Lynn (Norriss) and Jack Janway. After high school, Jordan attended Northeastern State University before moving to Chicago to receive basic training. After that, he moved to San Diego, where he served in the Special Warfare Unit of the US Navy from 2007 to 2008.

During his time there, he discovered his passion for skydiving and devoted himself to the pursuit. Jordan became a highly skilled master parachute rigger and free fall instructor for tactical air operations. He has also taken on the roles of cameraman, trainer and tandem instructor for Skydive San Diego.

Affectionately called “Jordo” by his friends, he progressed to base jumping in a wingsuit, which ignited his love for real flying. He embarked on exciting adventures around the world, jumping from mountain tops, and his favorite destination was Switzerland.

In addition, he leaves behind his nephews, Seth Robizon and Dalton Janway, and nieces, Genevieve and Lydia Johnson.

A memorial service to honor the extraordinary life of Jordan Janway will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. The service will be held at the Butterfly House and Gardens, located within the beautiful Honor Heights Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Reverend Cindy Culver will lead the service, offering comfort and support to those in attendance.

Death of Jordan Janway
