Jordan Knight Breaks Brother Jonathan's Heart with Tough Advice on Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp (Exclusive)

Jonathan Knight has to face the harsh reality of starting a business in the new episode Farm Fixer: Camp Makeover.

The New Kids on the Block star’s home renovation HGTV spinoff series follows his journey as he tries to turn a previously abandoned 12-acre campground in New Hampshire into a vacation destination in six months. In an exclusive first preview of Tuesday’s episode (above), Jonathan, 55, meets with his brother Jordan Knight for business advice after a tree falls on one of the cabins on the property.

“If I were to fix it, it would probably be $20,000 more than what it would cost to build a whole new structure,” Jonathan Jordan, 54, tells Jordan over coffee at his younger brother’s Italian restaurant Novara in Milton, Massachusetts. heart.”

Jonathan tells his brother and fellow NKOTB bandmate that he’d rather restore the old cabin than tear it down — regardless of the additional cost. But it’s not a smart business decision, and Jordan doesn’t mince words in letting his sibling know.

“What I’ve learned in business,” Jordan says, “you really want to make the tough decision not to spend that much money. I’d say knock it down.”

An exuberant Jonathan says that scrapping the old structure will “crush me,” though Jordan reminds him that every expense in running a business—whether it’s a restaurant, a live music tour, or a potential resort—adds up.

After giving Jonathan his unfiltered opinion, Jordan asks if he’s made any projections of potential costs or revenue, to which his older brother replies, “No, I just know in my heart that it’s going to work and people are going to come.”

Jordan goes on to list several other aspects of the business, such as finding employees, researching competitors, and designing a logo. After which Jonathan admits, “Wow, I look like a real dumbass— right now. I don’t know how much I’ve spent to date, I don’t know who I’m going to hire, I don’t know what demographics are going to come here, I think I’m in over my head.”

He laughs before adding, “I don’t even have a computer.”

In an exclusive interview in May, Jonathan told PEOPLE that he had always dreamed of owning a hospitality business, whether it was a bed and breakfast or a boutique hotel.

“I fell in love when I saw it [the campground] and took the opportunity to make that dream come true. We definitely took on a lot with this, but it was just a great opportunity and I knew I had to do it,” he said.

Jonathan and Jordan — along with NKOTB members Danny Wood, Donnie Wahlberg and Joey McIntyre — are currently touring the country on their Magic Summer Tour 2024. In May, the band also announced Still childrentheir first full length studio album in 11 years.
