Today, women MPs and office-bearers of our party, including myself, walked out of our AICC headquarters peacefully. We are female party members. We are exercising our democratic right to protest. The Delhi police were very rough with us. Some paramilitary personnel were also present. They dragged me and others. They used brutal force. About ten people lifted me up and threw me and others into a bus. We protest. There were approximately 60 to 70 police officers on scene. They refused to give us water for an hour. We tried to buy water but they threatened Waterwala and kicked him out. This is not the way to behave as a female MP or as a female or MP from any political party. This is not the democracy we want. ”
