Julianne Hough is heating things up in the kitchen.
On Sunday, September 22, the dancer and actress, 36, shared a cheerful snap on Instagram of herself preparing a meal — while wearing nothing but a tiny white bikini and a pair of sunglasses.
She can be seen dancing by the stove in the kitchen as she cooks something in a pan and then arranges what appears to be a salad. At one point she takes her dog to pet him and gives him a bite of food.
The video, set to Rocketman’s “Orange Coffee,” ends with Hough digging into her meal outdoors while her dog looks on. She cheekily captioned the post, “What’s the opposite of #tradwife😉,” a reference to the viral tradwife — or “traditional wife” — trend involving women who practice conventional gender roles in a relationship.
Content creators on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram have gained a large following by showcasing their lives as housewives, including preparing elaborate home-cooked meals and wearing modest 1950s-inspired clothing.
Hough’s followers seem to have enjoyed her spicy cooking video, with some even suggesting she’s found a new content niche for her account. “Omg. We need to cook with Jules 🙌🔥,” one fan commented on the post.
“Great wife ❤️,” wrote another.

Julianne Hough talks about Coming Out as ‘Not Straight’: ‘One of the most vulnerable and powerful things’
Hough’s cooking video comes after she recently opened up about her sexuality in more detail, five years after she publicly revealed she was “not straight”.
During the performance at The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast August 27, the A safe haven star reflected on how her life has changed since coming out in 2019 Women’s health article, an experience she described as “vulnerable” and “empowering.”
“Coming out is one of the most vulnerable and powerful things you can do,” she told host Jamie Kern Lima. “I think for me it was very similar — it’s not about being straight or gay or bi or queer. It’s more about, ‘I think I’m just learning what love is and I love people and I don’t know what I’m attracted to, but I choose you.’ ”
“I started seeing people and seeing their hearts and seeing their beauty and their essence come through in a way that I said, ‘Wow, I love people,'” Hough continued. “And I don’t know if it’s sexual attraction or ‘this’ attraction, but I’m just seeing people. And that was such a nice discovery, too.”

Shortly after the publication of the 2019 article, Hough said Extra that she received a lot of love and support from her friends and family as well as fans. She acknowledged that this is not always the case for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community.
“I feel really lucky, and a lot of people who don’t have the platform or the support that I have aren’t that lucky,” she said. “I just want to say that I’m super thankful for my family, friends and the support I’ve had from all my fans.”
Hough added: “But also to extend it … to people who don’t have that kind of support. That would be my wish.”
