Justin Bieber and Wife Hailey Announce Arrival of First Baby: 'Welcome Jack Blues Bieber'

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Bieber are officially parents!

The musician (30) and his model wife (27) welcomed their first baby together. Justin announced the news on Friday, August 23.

“WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER,” Justin wrote in an Instagram post. Hailey posted the same photo to her Instagram stories shortly after, with the baby’s name and a teddy bear and blue heart emoji.

Pattie Mallette, Justin’s mom, tweeted: “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!”

Stephen Baldwin, Hailey’s dad, shared Mallette’s tweet, adding, “Amen, congratulations and may God continue to bless our family.”

The couple first announced they were expecting a child together in May 2024, sharing the exciting news on Instagram. Hailey’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE that the model was just over six months pregnant at the time.

In their vow renewal video, Hailey wore a long, lacy white dress and veil, highlighting her growing baby bump. She also added several photos of her standing with Justin in a field. With his arms around her stomach, Justin stood behind her and showed off their matching wedding rings.

The pregnant model kept the caption simple, just tagging her husband.

The couple married in September 2018 at a courthouse in New York just two months after getting engaged. They later celebrated with a larger ceremony in front of family and friends, exchanging vows and Tiffany wedding rings as the sun set in Bluffton, South Carolina.

In October, Hailey appeared on the cover GQ Hype and addressed the pregnancy rumors by commenting on whether they are affecting her. “Recently everyone was saying, ‘Oh my God, she’s pregnant,’ and that’s happened to me a few times,” she told the newspaper.

“There’s something discouraging, like, damn, I can’t be high for once and not be pregnant? It would be a lie if I said, ‘Oh yeah, I’m f—ing.'”

“When the day comes that this is true, you, your just like on the internet, they will be the last to know,” she honestly added.

Although she previously discussed raising her children out of the spotlight, the model said at the time that she felt it was “probably completely inevitable.”

“That was before I got married. I didn’t know who I was going to marry at the time, I’m sure,” she continued.

Despite her stage fright, the model said motherhood is “something I’m looking forward to”.

“It’s also such a private, intimate thing. It’s something that will come when it comes.”

“And it’s just, honestly, at the end of the day, it’s so hilarious how much people fucking care. Let me do what I want with my body, and you can do what you want with your body — and let’s just let it be,” she said.

Justin has long said he wants to start a family with Hailey, but he made it known in a December 2020 appearance. The The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he respected his wife’s timeline.

“I’ll have just as many [babies] because Hailey wants to push out. I’d love to have my own little tribe,” the “Baby” singer said at the time. “But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do. … I think he wants to have a few.”
