Justin Bieber Shares Recording Studio Footage as Fans Think He’s Hinting at New Music

Justin Bieber fans are ready for new music!

Photos the pop star, 29, shared on Instagram this week had his followers wondering if he might be teasing a new project.

In two separate carousels, the “Never Say Never” singer shared content about himself in the studio and practicing on the mic with his bandmates. “Justin is back 🥳,” Instagram’s social media account commented on one set of photos.

Both posts had fans asking if the Biebs was warming up for his Super Bowl performance — a theory not out of left field, as his mentor and collaborator Usher is the scheduled halftime performer.

Prior to this week, the “Yummy” artist had seemingly focused on endeavors outside of the music world such as his recent collaboration with Drew House and Adidas for this year’s NHL All-Star jerseys.

The collaboration “brings a culturally relevant streetwear collaboration to the NHL All-Star Game, honoring the priceless tradition of each individual NHL team through the incorporation of a team patch on the shoulder,” according to a press release earlier this month.

Drew House co-founded Bieber and owns the fashion label with his friend Ryan Good.

Prior to that deal, the Grammy winner took time off from social media. He returned from a three-month hiatus in August with a sweet photo of himself, wife Hailey Baldwin Bieber and the couple’s niece Iris, who is the daughter of Hailey’s sister, Alaia Baldwin.

If his studio posts this week are any indication of his musical comeback, it will be a long-awaited one.

After being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome in June 2022, he postponed several shows on his Justice World Tour and then canceled all of his remaining shows to focus on his health.

“Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, where my face was partially paralyzed,” Bieber wrote in a statement he shared on his Instagram Story in September 2022. “As a result of this disease, I could not wrap up the North American leg of the Justice Tour.”

He added that despite being cleared by doctors to return to tour Europe in July, after a show in Brazil, it appeared he could no longer continue.

“It took a real toll on me,” he wrote. “Last weekend I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I had to the people in Brazil. After I got off the stage, exhaustion took over and I realized that my health should be my priority now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for now. Bit I’ll be fine, but I need time to rest and heal.”
