Justin Bieber remembers Liam Payne.
On Monday, Oct. 21, Bieber, 30, reposted a video to his Instagram Stories paying tribute to Payne, who died at the age of 31 on Wednesday, Oct. 16, adding a heartbroken emoji to express his feelings.
The fan-made video featured a fan-made memorial covered in notes, photos, flowers and other tributes to the One Direction band member. “Rest Liam,” the clip read.
A voiceover for the clip said: “Just remember: you’re allowed to grieve as a fan. You’re allowed to love someone you’ve never met. You’re allowed to admire someone for their art. You’re allowed to cry, break down, feel like a part of you disappeared.”

Payne died after falling several stories from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
A preliminary autopsy report found Payne died of multiple injuries and “internal and external bleeding.”

The surviving members of One Direction released a joint statement following Payne’s death on October 17. “We are completely devastated by the news of Liam’s death,” began their statement posted on Instagram.
“In time, and when everyone is able, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved very much.”

The band continued: “We will cherish the memories we shared with him forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, friends and fans who loved him with us. We will miss him terribly.”
His bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles signed the statement with “We love you Liam”.
On October 19, Malik announced in a post on his Instagram Stories that the US leg of his Stairway to the Sky tour would be postponed following Payne’s death. “In light of the heartbreaking loss I experienced this week, I have made the decision to postpone the US leg of the STAIRWAY TO THE SKY tour,” he said of the shows.
