KM Sachin Dev was born on Monday, October 18, 1993 (age 28; as of 2021) in Nellikode district of Kozhikode city in the state of Kerala, India. His zodiac sign is Libra. He became a member of the Students Federation of India (SFI), a left-wing student organization in India that was politically aligned with the ideological and political views of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Through hard work and diligence, he soon became one of the most popular and respected leaders of the Indian Students Federation, Government College of Law, Kozhikode. His main focus is working for the welfare of students, for which he is greatly appreciated. Later, he was appointed chairman of the Federation of College Societies, and after becoming president, he also established a political work office. His continuous hard work and dedication towards his work are commendable and have also earned him the post of Secretary, SFI Kozhikode District Committee. In 2021, he was appointed as State Secretary, SFI Kerala Committee and SFI All India Joint Secretary.
Soon after completing his law degree and gaining experience in politics, he chose to pursue a career in politics and joined the Communist Party of India (Marxist). A well-known student leader, he was one of the popular members of the Communist Party of India in Kerala. He polled 91,839 votes out of a total of 1,82,253 votes cast in the constituency, defeating his rival Dharmajan Bolgatty of the Indian National Congress, who polled 71,467 votes. BJP candidate Libin Bhaskar received 16,490 votes.
