Kacey Musgraves’ last vacation wasn’t quite what she imagined.
On Thursday, the 35-year-old singer posted a video on TikTok and Instagram, poking fun at how her recent vacation in Iceland was less than ideal.
The video begins with a photo of the popular destination, the Blue Lagoon with the text “POV: Your first time in the Blue Lagoon Iceland.” It continues with a Getty image of an Icelandic geothermal spa with tourists relaxing with the caption “what do you hope for”.
Musgraves’ video continues with short clips of her and her friends battling the winds and rain in the lagoon. Women protected their cups and at the same time kept their balance in the aggressive waves.

As the video continues, Musgraves mocks her reaction to the intense and imperfect weather by sharing a video of herself asking other tourists if they know “where the steam caves are.” Musgraves’ quest to find the caves continued after she left the lagoon, and her Instagram caption asks the same question.
– Are we having fun? she asked in her TikTok caption.
In a series of photos that zoomed in on the singer, Musgraves appeared to struggle with her appendages in the middle of a lagoon.

Before sharing the video, the “Justified” singer posted a series of Instagram Story posts featuring her battle with the waves. As the singer navigates the rocky waters, she clutches a beer, ear warmer and sunglasses to her chest.
In multiple Instagram Story posts, Musgraves shared candid reactions to the weather and waves, posting videos of herself screaming around the area.

For her 35th birthday, the “High Horse” singer’s boyfriend, Cole Schafer, secretly invited several of her closest friends to join her on vacation. Schafer invited her friends to come in disguise.
