Kaitlin Olson Is a Cleaning Lady with a Knack for Crime Solving in First High Potential Trailer (Exclusive)

As a single mother of three who works nights as a cleaner, Kaitlin Olson seems like an unlikely partner in crime for a detective – but she has a gift.

In the first trailer for High potentialwhich PEOPLE can exclusively premiere, Olson stars as Morgan, a woman who somehow finds herself working with the police after accidentally discovering her knack for solving crimes.

The trailer opens with Morgan grooving to No Doubt’s “Hella Good” as she goes about her business cleaning the police office. While cleaning the floors, she knocks over a box of photos related to an unsolved crime, and within seconds is able to determine that the police have the wrong woman identified as a suspect.

The next morning, Detective Karadec (Daniel Sunjata) asks the office, “Who changed our board? Who did this?” referring to Morgan’s handiwork: she crossed out “suspect” and replaced it with “victim.”

After reviewing the security camera footage, Karadec, Daphne (Javicia Leslie) and Selena (Judy Reyes) realize that their dancing cleaning lady is behind the change. “Who the hell is that?” – Karadec asks as he observes Morgan as he works.

Morgan was then brought into Selena’s office, who warned her, “The felony issue is a serious crime.”

“If I see a mistake, I have to correct it,” Morgan admits, prompting Selena to hand her the entire case file and ask, “What mistakes did you see?”

Morgan then brings up a key detail that detectives missed — the victim’s wrist had “no marks” from the alleged curtain cord, as she concludes that “he wasn’t tied up.”

“We could use someone with your talent,” Selena tells Morgan, who is anything but eager.

“Me? Working with the cops?” she says with a laugh.

However, Morgan is a single mother of three – and a partnership with the police could offer her a way out of the cleaner’s lifestyle. “Mommy will solve the case and then she’ll never have to scrub other people’s toilets again and we’ll live happily ever after,” she tells her son.

As she joins the ranks, forming an “unusual and unstoppable partnership” with Karadec, who is described as “a seasoned detective by default,” Morgana’s abilities begin to put the police to serious use – but not everyone is so convinced.

“You see the cleaning lady, I see more,” Selena says after being asked why the “cleaning lady” is rearranging the crime scene panels. “Morgan is a high-potential intellectual. She has advanced cognitive abilities.”

Her partner, however, remains suspicious, as Morgan carries her baby in a stroller to the crime scene, questions whether the “good cop, bad cop” method is really being used and takes selfies during the press conference in the trailer.

“What should she do?” – asks Karadec, to which Selena replies that Morgan can “spot things that my detectives miss.”

While things eventually calm down between Karadec and his unexpected partner, romance is (allegedly) strictly ruled out.

As the trailer ends, the man assumes the partners just got married, to which Morgan says “no,” “no,” and then “absolutely not” when asked if she and Karadec were in a relationship or even in a relationship.
