Kamal Mongrajani

Kamal Menghrajani is an Indian-American cancer doctor. In 2011, Kamal Menghrajani received his MD degree and a 3-year postgraduate medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. In July 2020, she completed a Master of Science (MS) in Biostatistics at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York. She is a member of the Global Health Team at the Mailman School of Public Health.

She is the co-founder of Nourish International, a student movement dedicated to addressing the effects of extreme poverty. She worked at the organization from January 2003 to May 2006. In August 2006, she joined the National Institutes of Health as an NCI researcher and worked there for 11 months. In June 2007, she joined ABC News as a medical reporter and worked there for the next three months. From June 2012 to June 2015, she served as a resident physician at the Medical College of Michigan in Ann Arbor. In July 2015, she joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a member. A year later, she became principal investigator and was promoted to attending physician in August 2018. In August 2023, she resigned from her job. She was appointed by U.S. President Joe Biden as a White House Fellow for the 2023-2024 class, providing her with the opportunity to work at the highest levels of the federal government in Washington, District of Columbia, United States.
