Facts/Trivia
- In an interview, Takapa talked about the Sikkim film industry. He said,
Filmmakers are given a level of support to thrive. Because of that, they are able to make films that have a pan-India reach. It may not have as strong a reach as Bollywood, but we are talking about pretty huge numbers as far as the region is concerned. Obviously, Sikkim wants more big-budget Bollywood projects to come here to work… to make films. It’s good for tourism, and at the end of the day, we’re talking about revenue. That’s always a plus. It gives you some hope because you don’t have an inherent audience, I mean in terms of population. So you hope that it opens up to more people – that’s the concept of what’s called world cinema.”
