Kate Middleton and Prince William send holiday wishes!
On Saturday, the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 41, released their annual Christmas card. The new photo, taken by photographer Josh Shinner earlier this year, shows the couple posing with their three children – Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.
The classic black and white portrait-style photo is a departure for William and Kate. They usually share color photos taken outdoors. This year’s photo, which was taken in Windsor, looks like it was taken in a studio setting. The family of five moved their primary residence from London to Windsor last year.
The family of five gets along in shirts with button-down collars. Kate and Charlotte wear jeans, while William, George and Louis coordinate in dark trousers (with Louis in shorts!). Charlotte and her younger brother Louis are also twins in canvas sneakers. William and Kate embrace their sons, with Charlotte taking center stage in the chair.

This year was a momentous one for William and Kate, as the couple further settled into their exalted royal roles as the Prince and Princess of Wales. William’s key place in the line of succession was highlighted on the day of King Charles’ coronation when he knelt before his father to pay his respects after being crowned.
Prince George also served as page of honor for his grandfather during the May 6 coronation at Westminster Abbey and made history as the first future monarch to officially play a role at the coronation service. Later in the day, Prince William and Princess Kate appeared with all three children on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to support the king.

Last year, Prince William and Princess Kate surprised fans with their most casual Christmas card yet. The sweet photo was taken by Matt Porteous in 2022 in Norfolk and shows the family holding hands during a sunny walk. The Prince and Princess of Wales are known to spend school holidays, weekends and holidays with their children at Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk, and it is where Kate is said to feel most at home.

The royal couple chose a never-before-seen photo of themselves posing with their children during a private family trip to Jordan for their Christmas 2021 card. In 2020 and 2018, the family chose photos taken outside in Anmer Hall.
On December 8, the family stepped out for Princess Kate’s third annual Together At Christmas Mass at Westminster Abbey. The fun evening marked the third iteration of the concert which Kate launched to highlight individuals and organizations across the UK who have supported their communities during the 2021 COVID pandemic.

The theme of Together At Christmas has changed slightly each year since then, with the latest service being linked to The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood’s Shaping Us campaign which Kate launched in June 2021.

On Christmas Day, Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are expected to take the traditional walk to church in Sandringham. Every Christmas, the royal family goes to the church of St. Mary Magdalene for a holiday mass, after which they greet well-wishers. They then return to Sandringham House to enjoy a traditional holiday turkey feast.
The 2022 walk was notable as the first during King Charles’ reign, and he had the honor of leading the charge with Queen Camilla. It was sweet for another reason — the debut of Prince Louis’ Christmas walk!
