Lottie Moss gets candid about her terrifying experience taking Ozempic.
The 26-year-old model, who is the younger half-sister of Kate Moss, opened up about why she decided to take the diabetes drug that has become a popular weight-loss aid in her Thursday, September 12 issue. Dream On podcast.
“I’m not going to lie to you. I definitely tried. A few months ago I wasn’t happy with my weight,” Moss admitted.
“I had a friend and she was able to get it for me. It was kind of under the line. I’m not going to lie,” she said. “It was from a doctor, but it wasn’t like you go to a doctor’s office and he prescribes it, takes your blood pressure and does tests, which is what you need when you go on something like Ozempic.”
Moss stated that while “it’s not really meant to slim down people who aren’t very big,” the amount she was taking “was actually meant for people who are 100 pounds [220 lbs.] and more, and I’m in my 50s [110 lbs.] range.”
“It’s the little things I wish I had known before I took it,” she said, noting that she injected it into her leg instead of her stomach to make herself feel “less sick.”

“It was the worst decision I’ve ever made, so if this is a warning to anybody, please, if you’re thinking about it, don’t take it. Like, it’s not worth it. I’d rather die any day than take it again,” she said. Moss.
In addition to experiencing “not a healthy drop” in weight, the podcast host said she would throw up, feel “so nauseous” and “never felt so sick in my life” during the two weeks she was on the medication.
Then she had to be hospitalized.
“I felt so sick one day. I said to my friend, ‘I can’t keep water down. I can’t keep any food down, any liquid, anything. I have to go to the hospital. I feel really sick,'” she recalled.
Moss said her eyes were “almost sunken in” when she and his friend arrived at the emergency room at 3:00 a.m.

She met with a nurse who told her she was taking the wrong amount of Ozempic and ended up having a seizure as a result of how dehydrated she was after being transferred to another part of the hospital.
“Which was honestly the scariest thing that happened in my life,” she added and told her fans.

“I hope that me talking about this and kind of talking about my experience with it can be a lesson to some people that it’s not worth it. It’s for diabetes, it’s not for weight loss, really,” she said, encouraging her support that ” be happy with your weight”.

“Be happy that you have a body that’s functioning and working instead of putting it through something like that. It can be so damaging down the road to your body,” she said.
