Kate Shaw’s Career
She is currently Co-Director of the Benjamin N. Cardozo Chair at the School of Law and the Floersheimer Center for Constitutional Democracy. She is a lawyer and a teacher. Her teaching and research interests as a law professor include constitutional law, electoral law, administrative law, the Supreme Court, and sexual and gender orientation and law.
During her time at Northwestern University, Shaw was editor-in-chief of the Law Review. She is also a member of the Administrative Conference of the United States. Her previous professional duties included clerical duties for judges such as Justice John Paul Stevens of the United States Supreme Court and Justice Richard A. Posner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
