News about Christina Applegate
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Christina Applegate opened up about multiple sclerosis and how the disease made it difficult for her to continue acting on camera.
Due to multiple sclerosis, Christina Applegate says she might stop acting on camera because “it’s never a good day.”
It’s never a good day with MS, Applegate said in 2021, when she first revealed her condition. MS affects the central nervous system and can cause symptoms such as fatigue, numbness, pain, memory problems, and even blindness or paralysis. The actual etiology of MS is unknown. The National MS Society states that different people may experience MS in different ways, and that its different symptoms may last for different lengths of time.

You just have bad days, Applegate pointed out. “People say, ‘Well, why don’t you shower anymore?'” Well, that’s because I’m afraid to take a shower. He could stumble and fall, and his legs could give out. especially since my shower is made of glass. I find it terrifying to go in there.
“There are some things in life that I take for granted and other people don’t. You can no longer carry goods or go down stairs. That’s f* awful. I can still travel short distances in my car. My son can talk to me about food. never down; only worse
According to Applegate, who is immunocompromised and whose MS affects her balance, she prefers to avoid crowds. So friends don’t stop by too often. “I also want to avoid overstimulating the nervous system because sometimes I find it too much. I prefer it to be as calm and quiet as possible, she added, adding that for anyone with brain injuries, large crowds are “like 5,000 times louder.”
When she learned she had multiple sclerosis while filming the third and final season of the television series “Dead to Me” in 2021, Applegate described it as a “trial and tax moment.” She admitted that she misses her colleagues after she finished the show.
“I miss that experience, but at the same time I’m relieved that I don’t have to work as hard to get through the day anymore because it was an incredible fight last year.”
Although there are no specific tests for MS, doctors look for comparable signs and symptoms. According to the Mayo Clinic, the symptoms can be treated in an effort to prevent and slow the course of the disease, although there is no known cure for the disease.
Some people may have minor forms that do not require therapy, while others may benefit from anti-inflammatory drugs, plasma treatments, or disease-modifying therapies, all of which can pose potential risks to their health.
