Katherine Heigl Shares Video of Husband Josh Kelley Curling Her Hair: ‘Every Girl Needs a Trusted Stylist’

When Katherine Heigl married her singer-songwriter husband Josh Kelley, she also got a hairdresser on call!

It’s on Saturday Firefly Lane star, 45, posted a video on Instagram of Kelley, 43, curling her hair while joking that she “worked with [him] for almost 20 years.”

“Every girl needs a trusted hairstylist to feel beautiful this holiday season,” she wrote. “No one is better at beach waves than him…or spilling tea! 😂❤️.”

While Heigl is the actor in the family, Kelley put a Southern twist on the relaxed clip and gossiped in the true tradition of hairstylists who spend as much time talking to their clients as they do blow-drying their hair. Katherine couldn’t help but giggle during his performance.

“Look at that — the perfect curl,” Kelley said as Heigl showed it off, before giving her a nod of approval. “Perfect,” she agreed.

Heigl and Kelley — who first met in 2005 when she starred in the music video for his song “Only You” — have been married since 2007. They have three children, daughters Naleigh, 15, and Adalaide, 11, and son Joshua, 6. 2010, after Heigl came out Grey’s Anatomythe couple moved to Utah, where they raised their family.

In September, Heigl opened up about their decision to leave Hollywood during an appearance on Today with Hoda and Jenna.

“You know, it’s weird. I think some people are mountain people, and I think some people are beach people,” she said at the time. “I’m kind of a mountain person and I’ve always been. And my mom understood, because we went to LA when I was 17 and we hung out for years, right? And I think at a certain point she realized that I needed somewhere to go to get away and kind of clear my head and that grounded me.”

“So we started trying to find, and dreaming about trying to find, that perfect place. And we found Utah, and then I started making enough money to be able to afford it,” she continued.

She then explained that she and her mother had built a house in Utah, thinking it would be a vacation home they would visit when they needed a break from the “hustle and bustle.”

“And we just started spending more and more time there. And my husband finally made it his primary residence on his driver’s license and stuff. And we went. ‘Yeah, I think this is our primary residence. We live here now,'” she remembered.

While she said the family enjoys a comfortable, quiet life in Utah, Heigl noted that her children sometimes crave a little more excitement.

“My kids sometimes wish they were in a more exciting, buzz-like city,” she explained. “But I told them, ‘I understand that you’re kind of sacrificing it, but I still think it was the right choice for our family because I’m more focused and more aware of what’s going on in your life.’ ”

“It’s a smaller town, I know who your friends are, who you hang out with, I know what’s up with school. It’s simply easier to keep your finger on the pulse,” she added.
