Katie Couric shares her tips with fellow “sensitive skin sufferers.”
The journalist (66) posted a photo of her bare face on Instagram, showing her eczema on the top of both eyelids. Couric shared a video of what her inflammation usually looks like. Eczema usually causes red and itchy skin.
Calling all people with sensitive skin! 🙋♀️ I’ve had eczema since I was a little girl, and as I got older, it started breaking out again,” Couric wrote. “I’m also dealing with allergic contact dermatitis – it’s safe to say, I have to be careful what I put on my face.”
Former Today Anchor wrote that her “search for a cure led me to @cherylleemdisme. Her products really helped,” adding: “I asked Lee a lot of questions about what causes eczema and how to calm flare-ups. You can find all her tips and tricks at the link at to my biography. 🙌.”

“I can’t believe I let my team post this picture. Good God 🥴,” Couric joked.
The journalist added a short comment below her post assuring followers that the flare-up had “cleared up” by the time she had a “date with George”. [Clooney]” — Couric shared an Instagram photo with Clooney, 62, on Wednesday afternoon.
“It just flares up so much and it’s so annoying! ❤️,” Couric concluded.

Fans and followers offered their support in the comments section. “I have it too, Kc. It stinks,” Kristen Chenoweth wrote, while Michelle Pfeiffer added, “Ouch😮.”
Several followers thanked Couric for sharing her experience. “I can’t thank you enough for shining a light on eczema with your platform!! 🌟🧼💚,” wrote one person.

Couric has long been open about her health and recently shared with PEOPLE in October what her life has been like since surviving breast cancer.
“I’m a living, walking example of the importance of early detection and screening,” she told PEOPLE at the American Ballet Theater’s fall gala in New York.

“I’ve been very lucky,” Couric said. “My cancer was caught very, very early when it was most treatable, and if I can just be an advertisement for people to get checked, to get mammograms, to talk to their doctors and if they have dense breasts, to get extra screening.”
Couric revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in 2022. Couric had a lumpectomy on July 14, 2022, and doctors removed a tumor that was “2.5 centimeters, about the size of an olive,” she said at the time.
Since her diagnosis, the journalist has advocated the importance of early detection.
