Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Give Glam Alien with Futuristic Facial Prosthetics: ‘Spaced Out and Starry Eyed’

Katy Perry’s latest look is supernatural, and dare we say alien?

The “ET” singer and her husband, Orlando Bloom, got glammed up for a theme party over the weekend, and while we don’t know all the details, we do know the couple left with some sort of couture alien.

Both Perry, 39, and Bloom, 47, rocked prosthetics, with Perry wearing antennae on her forehead and both sporting pointy ears. The two also drew on their eyebrows to make them look even more alien.

But to keep things on the glamorous side, both wore pretty classy looks. Perry wore a gorgeous metallic gown with plenty of sparkle and a dramatic thigh-high slit that exposed her heels. Bloom complemented it with an elegant suit and a sharp button-down shirt.

They hired special effects makeup artists Hugo Villasenora, Analyn Cruz and Gabby Navarrete with prosthetics. Patrick Ta came up with the rest of the glam, sharing on Instagram that “mom ain’t playin’ when it comes to a themed party.” Rick Henry styled Perry’s hair to perfection, and Kim Truong was in charge of her nails. Perry also turned to her stylist Tatiana Waterford for the night.

Perry shared a carousel of photos of herself and Bloom on Instagram with the caption, “🚀🛸👽wide-eyed and starry-eyed👽🛸🚀.” She offered several close-ups of her glamorous makeup, as well as full shots of her futuristic dress.

The comments on Instagram were seriously leaning towards the alien theme, and many said as much American Idol rate it as “ET 2.0” in appearance.

Kim Kardashian even chimed in with her own comment, saying, “I was obsessed with this look last night!!!!” So apparently she was at the theme party where this look debuted!

It’s no secret that Perry loves costumes. She dressed up many times while she was there American Idol and for Halloween, including as Tinker Bell in 2021, as Britney Spears in 2014, and as Cheeto in the same year. But perhaps some of her most memorable masked moments were on the Met Gala carpet, especially the year she dressed up as a burger.

In 2019, Perry appeared at the Met Gala afterparty as a burger, then wore the costume again alongside Taylor Swift to dispel their “beef” rumors.
