Katy Perry Commands the Stage in 3 Dreamy, Dazzling Dresses While Performing in Vietnam

Katy Perry crossed an important item off her bucket list – and she looked fabulous doing it.

The singer, 39, performed in Vietnam at the VinFuture Awards ceremony, which honors scientific discoveries and technological innovations, on Wednesday, rocking three stunning looks.

Perry was styled by Tatiana Waterford for the event and wore two Cong Tri dresses and a strapless Loewe number as she performed three songs, one in each of the different dresses.

The first of the dresses from the Vietnamese fashion house was a strapless purple chiffon dress with a mesh V-neck and cut-outs at the waist and long, flowing sleeves.

Cong Tri’s second look was a sequined floor-length dress with long sleeves and silk cuffs, a plunging V-neck, and mesh cutouts on either side of the torso. She paired both looks with a pair of dramatic dangling silver earrings and kept her hair down in sleek curls.

“My favorite 🏆 ceremonies are the ones that give outstanding awards to scientists for their 🌏 game-changing work,” she wrote on Instagram as she shared a few photos of her three stylish looks from the evening. “Thank you VinFuture for bringing me back to Vietnam to finally sing there for the first time! 🫰🏻.”

Wearing three different dresses for each performance, Perry sang “Roar,” “Unconditionally” and “Firework.”

Perry’s performance in Vietnam comes after she finished her Las Vegas residency, Play, in November.

At her last show, she had some exciting people in the audience as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a rare public appearance to see the concert, Céline Dion was in attendance and her fiance, Orlando Bloom, was also there to support her.

Bloom, 46, also brought her and Perry’s 3-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, to watch the final performance, which was the little one’s first public appearance in history.

As she prepared to perform her 2008 single “Hot n Cold,” she paused and took a moment to shout out her little one, who she and the actor welcomed in August 2020.

“Daisy! I love you so much,” Perry said, as seen in the clip, which was shared by fans on X (formerly known as Twitter). “You’re my best friend, I’m so glad you’re here.”

“I’m going to sing this song—I think you know it?” continued the proud mom, addressing directly her daughter, who was dressed in a Minnie Mouse costume in the audience.

At another point during the show, she gave a shout-out to everyone who made the Play program what it was – including Daisy.

IN video also shared on Xu by an audience member, the singer paid tribute to Bloom for being an “amazing support system” and an “amazing father”. Perry then turned her attention to their baby girl, stating, “I created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove.”

“When I met her, it was like all the love I was looking for finally appeared. She made me whole, healed me and showed me how to play again,” continued the “ET” singer. “So this show is for everyone’s inner child and for the hope that maybe if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, we’d be free.”
