Katy Perry Holds Hands with Orlando Bloom as They Leave American Idol Season Finale Afterparty

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom step out in style.

The couple were pictured hand in hand as they left American Idol after party of the season finale in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 19, following Perry’s final appearance as a judge on the show in seven years.

Perry, 39, looked radiant in a nude asymmetric corset embellished with rhinestones, which she paired with a matching draped skirt with a side slit and gold strappy heels. She wore her hair loose, pink lipstick and white nails.

Meanwhile, Bloom, 47, wore a black and white varsity jacket, white T-shirt and navy blue jeans as he stepped out to support Perry on her special night out with her Idol family in the midst of her exit from the show.

A colleague joined the couple at the party Idol judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, who attended with his girlfriend Lisa Parigi, and host Ryan Seacrest.

For American Idol in the final taping earlier that evening, Perry wore another striking corset in a gold Grace Ling Couture design, with seven roses molded across it to represent the singer’s seven seasons on the show.

After the show, Perry posted photos on Instagram of herself modeling a corset paired with a white draped skirt. “🥀 7 roses for 7 seasons 🥀 143 #idol 🫶🏼”, she explained in the caption.

The dress designer revealed in a clip posted to Instagram Stories that the corset was still being sewn to the skirt at 2:00 a.m. before the live performance, though luckily the design was completed in time.

Perry seemed very emotional during her latest appearance on the American Idol as contestant Abi Carter was crowned the winner of the 2024 series.

The singer was seen shedding tears as she hugged fellow judges Bryan, 47, and Richie, 74, while Carter, 21, performed Billie Eilish’s 2024 hit “What Was I Made For?” during the finals.

Perry became a judge on American Idol along with Bryan and Richie in 2018 when the series returned to ABC after an original 15-season run on Fox.
