Kelly Clarkson once ripped her pants while filming her 2010 music video, “Since U Been Gone.”
The singer, 41, revealed the wardrobe mishap happened while on set in taped portions of Tuesday’s episode of the show The Kelly Clarkson Show.
While the show was off the air and the cameras were still rolling, guest Kyle Richards – who was dressed as a black cat for the Halloween episode – started the conversation by mentioning “how tight my body is”.
“I basically feel like I’m wearing one big pair of Spanx from my ankles to my neck,” he said The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills the star said as she sat on the sound stage. “And I didn’t sit in them until I got here. So if you hear a loud noise…”

“It’s like it’s torn,” Clarkson added as she waved. Explaining how she would react if that happened, Richards continued: “I’m going to cover myself with a pillow.”
“It happened to me on a music video,” Clarkson revealed. “The editor said, ‘Can you come down?’ I was in really tight leather pants in the ‘Since U Been Gone’ video and he said, ‘Get down and climb up,’ and I said, ‘OK, great.’ ”
“And I went downstairs and I was like, ‘Whoa!'” she mimicked the sound of her bottom splitting open. “And I was a commando,” she added, which made the audience burst into laughter.
“Do we have this on tape?” Richards (54) joked. Clarkson continued, “The drummer, I said, ‘Oh s— that’s a lot of moon, man. I’m sorry.”

Ahead of the Oct. 31 episode, PEOPLE got an exclusive look at the talk show host’s costume as the blood-drinking vampire.
For the show, Clarkson wore a form-fitting black long-sleeved dress with a matching necklace. She also painted her face to look eerily pale with colored blood dripping from her smoky eyes.
Befitting her character, Clarkson sang a cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s hit song “Vampire.” “I love Halloween so much,” Clarkson said after her performance.
She went on to explain her band’s coordinated costumes. “We’re all different versions of vampires. I’m a rock and roll vampire. That’s what I claim, ’cause we just went with it!”
“We should all go out after this, just to freak people out,” she joked.
