Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Make Gingerbread Cookies with Kids Lola and Michael — Watch

Holiday baking is a family affair for the Ripa-Consuelos clan!

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos joined Tuesday morning Living with Kelly and Mark two of their children, Michael and Lola, to bake a festive, family-favorite sweet — “Consuel’s Gingerbread Cookies.”

“Good good good. The chickens are back in the coop for the holidays,” Ripa, 53, began the segment.

Before they got down to baking, each of the kids gave the audience a quick update on their lives, at the request of Consuelos, 52.

Michael, 26, said he lives in Brooklyn, New York and produces for Real Housewives about two years, joking that he was “still healthy.”

Lola (22), who recently moved to London, revealed that she is making new music.

The family then shared why they decided to make gingerbread cookies — which are “Michael’s favorite,” according to Consuelos.

According to Michael, he suggested they “make gingerbread men” for Kelly and Mark segment, and his family offered no other ideas. “So that’s why we’re doing it,” he added.

Then Lola began giving instructions for the recipe – starting with preheating the oven – as Ripa joked: “And Lola, do you know which appliance here is the oven?”

Ripa and Consuelos continued to mix the ingredients as Michael cheered them on saying, “You’re doing great.”

As Lola continued with the instructions, Ripa teased her again. “Lola, do you know what you are saying or are you just saying words?”

“Unlike you two, this is not my first cookie,” the co-host joked.

When it came time to roll out the dough, Ripa switched targets, instead teasing her husband: “Mark, you’ve got a lot of aggression, do it.”

After a commercial break, the family finished decorating gingerbread men, including “little Joaquin” — a Consuelos cookie modeled after the couple’s 20-year-old son who did not appear on the show.

Earlier this month, Kelly and Mark hosts shared their 2023 holiday greeting in a joint Instagram post.

Their three children were not on this year’s map. Instead, Ripa and Consuelos opted for a parents-only clip so they could mock the fact that all three of their children have moved out of the house.

“Happy holidays,” they wrote. “I love Empty Nesters.”
