The actress told ‘Variety’ that she is ‘still in touch with almost everyone’ from the hit series, which ran from 2007 to 2012.
Kelly Rutherford will be among the guests gathered to watch Ed Westwick say “I do!”
The 55-year-old actress — who starred alongside Westwick, 36, in the hit series Gossip girl – plans to attend the upcoming wedding of his former colleague.
“I’m still in touch with almost everyone from the show. I’m going to Ed’s wedding and I’m really excited,” she told Diversity during participation in the French TV festival Series Mania.

Westwick announced his engagement to fiancée Amy Jackson in January. The Deep Fear star popped the question as the couple enjoyed skiing in Switzerland, getting down on one knee on the Peak Walk by Tissot, a suspension mountain bridge.
The two shared the happy news via a joint Instagram post featuring a series of photos from the picturesque proposal. One shot captured Westwick kneeling in front of Jackson as he held her hand, and she covered her mouth in surprise. Both were dressed in sports ski equipment.

Another image shows a crowd of people watching the romantic proposal as the couple stood alone on a bridge amid sweeping views of the snow-capped Alps.
Jackson captioned the post, “HELL YES 💍,” while Westwick posted on his Instagram Story, “I hit the jackpot xxx.”

The couple first met in 2021 while attending an Aston Martin event at the Silverstone race track in England. Jackson said Lifestyle Asia in August 2023 that the actor — who famously played bad boy-turned-good guy Chuck Bass in Gossip girl — they invited her on a double date with their dogs.
“He knew how to win me over from the start… coffee and dogs,” she joked on the way out.
They officially announced their relationship on Instagram in June 2022, and the following month they walked the first red carpet together at the National Film Awards.

As for Rutherford – who played Lily van der Woodsen’s partner in the Gossip Girl – recently spoke with PEOPLE about how she unexpectedly became a social media star, serving up chic OOTD lift selfies to her 2 million Instagram followers.
“Social media has always been organic for me,” she told PEOPLE last month. “I’ve never had anybody do it for me. I just post quotes that I like, and it’s not necessarily about the number or the likes. I just found my way with it. I’m just thinking now [that] it is so important to put good energy out into the world. I think the world needs that. We all need it.”

In her conversation with Diversity on Series Mania, the mother of two – she shares daughter Helena and son Hermes with ex Daniel Giersch – talked about the short-lived 2021 Gossip girl reboot and how she wishes some of the original cast could have been included.
“It would be interesting if that were the case Star Wars and a few of us went back to add a torch or a lightsaber,” she said, before adding, “I guess they thought it was just easier to create a new environment.”
She also mentioned how much she appreciates the depth of her character Lily as she looks back on filming the series, which ran for six seasons from 2007 to 2012.
“The women I grew up with were very chic, but I’ve never really seen a mother like that on TV. I didn’t realize how much people loved Lily – until now,” she said Diversity. “In the beginning, it was all about these kids parents. Then they started writing more for us.”
“Lily was a tough mom, but when you’re young, you don’t realize what your parents are dealing with. They have their problems, they make mistakes,” she continued.”[In Gossip Girl] you have to see that parents are not perfect. That’s what’s so cool.”
